Learn the concepts. Pass the entry exam.

A free KCNA practice lab: 66 original multiple-choice questions mapped to the official curriculum, a learn mode that explains why every answer is right and every distractor is wrong, and a timed 60-question mock exam scored like the real thing.

Two modes. Zero fluff.

The KCNA is multiple choice, so the preparation should be too: drill questions with instant explanations until the concepts stick, then sit a strict, timed replica of the exam format.

f.01 · learn

Explanations, not answer keys.

Every question ships a full rationale: why the right answer is right, why each of the three distractors is wrong, and a link into the official docs. Wrong answers become the fastest way to learn.

per-answer why · docs links · instant feedback
f.02 · exam

A strict mock of the real format.

60 questions, 90 minutes, domain-weighted to the official curriculum, no feedback until you submit. Flag questions, jump around from the review sheet, and get a per-domain score report at the end.

60 questions · 90 minutes · pass at 75%
f.03 · progress

A readiness score that means something.

Your finished runs are saved to your account and rolled into a readiness score weighing recent performance, consistency, trend, and volume, the same formula our CKA/CKAD/CKS labs use.

attempt history · per-domain breakdown · readiness

Mapped to the official KCNA blueprint.

Domain weights mirror the published KCNA curriculum, and mock exams draw questions in those proportions, so your practice pressure lands exactly where the exam puts it.

Things people ask before signing up.

Is this really free?

Yes. The KCNA practice lab is free for every signed-in user: all 66 questions, learn mode, and unlimited timed mock exams. No card, no trial clock. We make our money on the hands-on CKA, CKAD, and CKS labs; KCNA is where most people start.

What is the KCNA exam format?

The real KCNA is a 90-minute, online-proctored, multiple-choice exam of around 60 questions. It's the entry-level Kubernetes certification: conceptual, not performance-based. Our mock replicates that format: 60 questions drawn in official domain proportions, 90 minutes, scored at the end.

Is this affiliated with the Linux Foundation or CNCF?

No. prepium.sh is an independent practice environment. All questions are original, written against the published curriculum. We are not the certifier, and the exam itself is purchased from the Linux Foundation separately.

How long should I study for the KCNA?

With some container experience, 1-3 weeks is typical. If Kubernetes is completely new, budget 4-6 weeks and lean on learn mode: the explanations are written to teach the concept, not just mark your answer. When your mock scores sit comfortably above 75%, you're ready.

Does the KCNA count toward Kubestronaut?

Yes. CNCF's Kubestronaut program requires holding all five Kubernetes certifications: KCNA, KCSA, CKA, CKAD, and CKS. KCNA is the usual first step. When you're ready for the hands-on exams, our CKA, CKAD, and CKS labs run on real clusters.

Are these real exam questions?

No, and that's deliberate. Every question is written by us against the official curriculum topics. Memorizing leaked questions is both against the exam agreement and a bad way to actually learn; understanding the concepts behind 66 well-explained questions is what gets you through question 61.

KCNA passed? Go hands-on.

The next Kubernetes certifications are performance-based: real clusters, real tasks, real time pressure. That's exactly what the prepium.sh lab engine does.

Sixty-six questions. Every one explained.
